Prominent private household is seeking a highly experienced and exceptionally discreet part-time Nutritionist to join their team in Highland Mills, NY. This position offers a unique opportunity for a polished, service-oriented professional to deliver bespoke, high-level nutritional guidance within a private residential setting. In this role, the Nutritionist will work in close collaboration with the Personal Fitness Trainer and broader household staff, contributing to a cohesive and elevated approach to health and wellness for principals, family members, and guests. Responsibilities include the development of highly personalized nutrition programs, ongoing consultation, and thoughtful alignment of dietary strategies with fitness, lifestyle, and performance goals. This position requires an individual who is adept at delivering a high-touch, hospitality-driven experience, including intuitive, tailored consultations and short-term nutritional support for guests, executed with polish and attention to detail.


The household places a premium on professionalism, discretion, and a collaborative team dynamic, and is seeking a candidate who is adaptable, emotionally intelligent, and able to integrate effortlessly into an established staff. The successful candidate will possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills and demonstrate the ability to distill complex nutritional concepts into clear, approachable, and actionable guidance tailored to a discerning clientele.

This is a part-time, in-person position averaging approximately 25 hours per week, with flexibility in scheduling. The Nutritionist should also offer a high level of responsiveness and availability to provide additional consultations, program adjustments, and support on an as-needed basis beyond regularly scheduled hours.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


  • Create and implement highly customized nutrition programs aligned with the individual needs, goals, and preferences of principals, family members, and guests
  • Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments and provide ongoing support through both scheduled sessions and ad hoc consultations
  • Deliver elevated, guest-facing nutrition consultations, including short-term planning and tailored recommendations
  • Partner closely with the Private Personal Trainer to ensure consistency and synergy between dietary and fitness initiatives
  • Advise on supplementation, hydration, and lifestyle practices to enhance overall health and performance
  • Liaise with private chefs and kitchen staff to ensure meals are aligned with established nutritional plans
  • Review menus, recipes, and ingredient sourcing to uphold nutritional standards and objectives
  • Track progress and proactively adjust programs based on outcomes, feedback, and evolving goals
  • Stay informed on current research, trends, and best practices within the nutrition and wellness space
  • Maintain accurate records while exercising the utmost discretion and confidentiality


Requirements:


  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in nutrition, dietetics, or a related field, ideally within private households, luxury hospitality, or similarly high-touch environments
  • Degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related discipline; Registered Dietitian (RD) or comparable credential required
  • Demonstrated expertise across a range of nutritional disciplines, including performance, longevity, weight management, and medical nutrition therapy
  • Experience delivering high-touch, personalized service in a client-facing environment
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team, with a professional, flexible, and communicative approach
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with principals, family members, guests, and staff
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive, with a solutions-oriented mindset
  • Ability to integrate seamlessly into an established household team and contribute positively to overall operations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Impeccable references from both current and former employers
  • Must reside within a commutable distance to Highland Mills, NY
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
  • Legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States


Compensation: $100 - $175 / hour
