Our client is seeking a talented Private Funds Associate Attorney to join their office in Washington DC. Their Private Funds practice advises a sophisticated global client base on the full lifecycle of private investment funds and related strategic matters. The team works delivering commercially focused and innovative legal solutions across a wide spectrum of fund structures and investment arrangements.


Responsibilities:


  • Advise on the formation of private investment funds across a range of strategies.
  • Assist with the acquisition and sale of minority and majority stakes in fund sponsors.
  • Represent buyers and sellers in secondary transactions involving portfolios of private fund interests.
  • Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, and supervising attorneys.
  • Represent institutional investors in connection with fund investments, co-investments, and related transactions.
  • Collaborate with partners and cross-functional teams on complex, high-value matters while maintaining strong client relationships.


Qualifications:


  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree, class years 2021–2024.
  • Admission to practice in Washington, DC.
  • Fund formation experience required.
  • Strong academic credentials and exceptional drafting and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage key components independently.
  • Commercially minded with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach.
