Private Equity Associate, Tampa

A leading middle-market private equity firm is seeking a highly motivated Associate to join its growing team in Tampa. The firm specializes in control-oriented investments across a range of industries, partnering closely with management teams to drive operational improvements and long-term value creation.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with strong analytical skills and prior experience in investment banking, consulting, or transaction advisory who are looking to transition into private equity.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate potential investment opportunities through financial modeling, industry research, and competitive analysis
• Conduct due diligence, including reviewing financial statements, building operating models, and assessing key risks
• Support deal execution, including transaction structuring and coordination with external advisors
• Work closely with portfolio company management teams to monitor performance and execute value creation initiatives
• Prepare investment memos and presentations for internal investment committees

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in investment banking, consulting, or a related field
• Strong financial modeling and valuation skills
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple workstreams
• Demonstrated interest in private equity and investing
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or a related field
