TeleSolv Consulting is seeking a skilled Print Production Specialist to support high-volume printing, reproduction, and distribution operations in a fast-paced production environment.

This position supports the federal government, and all applicants must be local to the Washington, DC area.

The Print Production Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the timely and accurate production of printed materials and document services. This role involves operating high-speed production equipment, managing print workflows, maintaining quality standards, and supporting customer requirements from intake through final delivery. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically proficient, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively to meet production demands.

This position supports Government operations that provide essential printing and reproduction services, ensuring materials are produced efficiently, accurately, and in alignment with customer specifications.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate high-speed digital printing, copying, scanning, and finishing equipment to produce a variety of materials such as booklets, brochures, forms, and certificates.
  • Receive and review print requisitions to ensure completeness, accuracy, and proper authorization prior to processing.
  • Schedule and prioritize print jobs based on complexity, volume, and customer deadlines.
  • Process print and reproduction requests, including electronically submitted files, ensuring proper formatting and alignment with customer requirements.
  • Perform finishing tasks such as binding, laminating, hole-punching, stapling, and packaging of final products.
  • Conduct quality control inspections to ensure completed products meet required standards and are free of defects.
  • Maintain communication with customers regarding job status, completion, and delivery or pickup arrangements.
  • Provide recommendations to customers on print specifications, materials, and production methods to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Support quick-turnaround print requests and adjust priorities as needed to meet operational demands.
  • Perform routine operator-level maintenance on production equipment and coordinate service calls when needed.
  • Monitor and record equipment usage, including meter readings, and report data as required.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies and notify appropriate personnel when replenishment is needed.
  • Ensure workspaces are clean, organized, and compliant with safety, recycling, and operational standards.
  • Assist with training personnel and documenting procedures to support continuity of operations.
  • Participate in meetings and provide updates, reports, and input as required to support contract performance.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust/Suitability Clearance.
  • Proficiency in PRISMA print workflow automation and production tools.
  • Experience operating high-speed digital production printers (e.g., Xerox, Canon, or similar equipment).
  • Knowledge of black-and-white and color printing and reproduction processes.
  • Experience with document scanning and converting files to electronic formats such as PDF.
  • Familiarity with print production software such as Adobe Creative Cloud (e.g., InDesign, Adobe Acrobat) or similar tools is highly desirable.
  • Ability to follow simple to complex instructions and manage multiple tasks with varying levels of guidance (depending on level).
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify defects and ensure quality standards are met.
  • Experience interacting with customers to clarify requirements and resolve specification issues.
  • Ability to work independently on routine tasks and collaboratively on more complex assignments.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage production schedules and meet deadlines in a high-volume environment.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks such as standing, lifting, and handling materials as required in a production setting.

Background Investigation:


This position requires that you obtain a background investigation. As part of this process, the government will perform a criminal, credit, tax, employment, and drug history background check. The government has varying tolerances, with mitigating circumstances, for issues in all of the categories. The government is essentially looking to confirm that you are generally in good financial standing, up to date on your tax filings, rehire eligible with your prior employers, and have adhered to any federal restrictions on illegal drug use, including marijuana, in addition to other checks related on your character and trust worthiness.
