Principal Structural Engineer

Job Title: Structural Professional Engineer (P.E.) – Texas

Position Summary:

We are seeking a licensed Structural Professional Engineer (P.E.) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in structural design and analysis, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, reliable engineering solutions. This role requires a current Professional Engineer license in the state of Texas.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform structural analysis and design for a variety of projects including commercial, industrial, and/or residential structures
• Prepare and review engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications
• Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and regulations
• Collaborate with internal teams, architects, and clients to develop effective structural solutions
• Conduct site visits and inspections as needed
• Review and approve structural documents as Engineer of Record when applicable
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers

Required Qualifications:

• Current Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in the state of Texas
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Proven experience in structural design and analysis
• Strong knowledge of building codes and industry standards (IBC, ASCE, AISC, etc.)
• Proficiency in structural design software and engineering tools
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Structural Engineering
• Experience with a variety of project types and materials (steel, concrete, wood, masonry)
• Familiarity with project management and client coordination

Work Environment:

This position may include a combination of office work and occasional field/site visits depending on project requirements.
