About the Role
We are seeking an exceptional Principal Software Architect to lead the transformation of our legacy Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Transportation Management Systems (TMS) across our global supply chain operations. This role will architect and drive the implementation of next-generation logistics platforms that support our semiconductor manufacturing and distribution operations across inter-continental, multi-channel product distribution centres (Warehouses) .
You will work closely with worldwide finance and operations, supply chain management, ERP systems, legal and compliance teams to ensure seamless product flow from manufacturing sites to customers globally.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Strategy
- Architect end-to-end supply chain platform solutions deployed across inter-continental, multi-channel warehouses enabling robust, scalable, and sustainable worldwide operations
- Lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation roadmap for enterprise WMS platforms (Manhattan Associates, Blue Yonder, Körber, Oracle WMS, or Infor WMS)
- Design distributed, microservices-based architectures capable of processing 500,000+ orders per day with 99.9%+ uptime
- Architect integrations with complex warehouse automation systems including ASRS (Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems), conveyor systems, sortation equipment, and robotics
- Establish cross-region SLAs, standardized deployment practices, and unified observability frameworks
Platform Development & Integration
- Own and deliver comprehensive Warehouse Management capabilities including Inbound, Fulfilment, Order Management, Picking, Packing, and Shipping.
- Integrate end-to-end inventory order-to-cash processes including allocation and consignment in multi-channel environments.
- Architect event-driven, asynchronous pipelines and auto-scaling microservices to maximize platform throughput
- Design and implement Transportation Management solutions integrating with inter-continental carriers ensuring on-time delivery with country-specific legal and tax compliance
- Develop real-time monitoring and tracking services with intelligent routing and cost-optimization engines
- Implement warehouse automation interfaces (WCS/WES) for material handling equipment, robotics, and IoT devices
Technical Leadership
- Lead architecture design reviews, technical specifications, and solution documentation
- Drive test automation frameworks and test-driven development (TDD) methodologies
- Establish CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for rapid, reliable deployments
- Champion performance optimization, reducing deployment cycles from weeks to days
- Implement proactive monitoring with analytics measuring KPIs for operations, infrastructure, security, and compliance
Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with strategic business partners and stakeholders to set priorities and roadmaps aligned with business goals
- Establish and nurture relationships across worldwide teams ensuring transparency across all development and deployment stages
- Mentor and develop engineering teams, nurturing a high-performing organization of 15+ engineers.
- Lead cross-functional teams through requirements gathering, design, implementation, validation, and business readiness
