Principal Scientist, Gene Therapy

Creative Biolabs is committed to accelerating the discovery, research, development, and manufacturing of gene therapies. We are looking for a Principal Scientist, a gene therapy expert who will be responsible for developing next-generation gene editing and gene delivery strategies, working collaboratively across all research functions to drive the progress of technology platform development.

• Build a team of all-star scientists.
• Lead the early scientific research of novel gene editing and gene delivery strategies.
• Lead preclinical assay development programs in ex vivo and in vivo studies.
• Oversee disease model and analytical assay development.
• Write technical documents including Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), protocol, reports.
• Support patent application and registration.
• Supervise and train technical staff as the need arises.

• Advanced degree in synthetic biology, cell biology, genetics, molecular biology, biochemistry, systems biology, immunology, or related fields.
• Deep knowledge of and demonstrated experience in gene editing and gene delivery.
• 5+ years of industry experience in gene therapy or gene editing technologies.
• Leadership experience.
• Extensive experience in establishing and managing successful relationships with internal and external collaborators.
• Excellent presentation and written skills of technical documents.
