Principal Scientist – Method Development Lead
Location: Ann Arbor, MI | Full-Time, In-Person
We’re looking for a Principal Scientist to lead method development for HPLC and LCMS platforms in a fast-growing, mission-driven lab. This is a high-impact, hands-on role where you’ll design scalable processes, optimize testing methods, and mentor senior chemists — all while shaping the future of lab testing.
What You’ll Do
- Lead method development across HPLC & LCMS platforms, accelerating time-to-launch.
- Optimize methods to improve turnaround times, lower LOQs, and cut testing costs.
- Mentor senior chemists and create reusable SOPs, templates, and workflows.
- Troubleshoot instruments and methods, ensuring robustness and repeatability.
- Stay ahead of new technologies and bring innovation into method development.
Who You Are
- PhD or MS in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field, with 10+ years in method development.
- Deep expertise in HPLC and LCMS method development and validation.
- Proven track record of launching methods efficiently and at scale.
- Systems thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communicator and mentor, thriving in fast-paced, high-standard environments.
