The Principal Program Manager plays a pivotal role in envisioning what it takes to advance the PHP vision and facilitates the methodologies and processes necessary for success, reporting directly to the Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO).

At a strategic level, the Principal Program Manager is accountable for driving both Technology and Business initiatives to ensure alignment with organizational goals. Key responsibilities include:

● Supporting executive leaders in creating an adaptive strategic plan and framework that establishes the 'north star', anchors decision-making, and drives results across technology and business domains.

● Enabling corporate-level governance and facilitating cross-functional processes and forums to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of transformational activities in both business and technology initiatives.

● Overseeing the transformation agenda, developing initiative roadmaps, managing cross-enterprise teams supporting technology and business projects, and ensuring successful delivery of transformational programs throughout planning, execution, and closure phases.

The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader and individual contributor, providing thought leadership to the Enterprise Project Management Office, functional areas, strategic partners, and vendors throughout the end-to-end transformation process. This position requires the ability to rapidly build strategic relationships with key executives and contributors organization-wide, bringing together the right capabilities to enable alignment, expansion, growth, and value realization. The Principal Program Manager must also drive and oversee both technology and business initiatives, ensuring seamless integration of solutions to maximize impact.

The Principal Program Manager is expected to deliver visionary leadership and thought guidance to the Enterprise Project Management Office, functional areas, strategic partners, and vendors throughout transformation initiatives. This role demands strong technical acumen to drive technology projects, align business strategies with technical solutions, and ensure successful implementation and oversight of complex technical and business programs. Candidates should possess expertise in modern enterprise technology platforms, cloud-based architectures, and digital transformation best practices, as well as the ability to drive delivery/implement, and oversee sophisticated technical and business projects.

Industry standards for principal technology and business roles include collaborating with cross-functional teams to define technology and business roadmaps, evaluating and recommending innovative solutions, and ensuring the scalability, security, and performance of enterprise systems. The Principal Program Manager is expected to remain current with emerging technologies, establish technical standards, and drive organizational excellence across both business and technology landscapes.

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define technology and business roadmaps, evaluate and recommend innovative solutions, and ensure enterprise systems are scalable, secure, and high-performing.
  • Staying current with emerging technologies and business trends, establishing technical and operational standards to drive organizational excellence.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies while promoting a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Mentoring and developing talent within project teams, fostering professional growth and ensuring the successful delivery of high-impact initiatives across business and technology functions.

This role works 100% remote and is open to candidates residing in:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree Any relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 8 years of experience in program or project management.
  • 3 years of experience impacting the healthcare experience for members.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Operations Management, or a related field or equivalent education/experience.
  • Coursework/Training: Completion of advanced-level educational program in business process improvement, project management, change and transition management or equivalent education/experience.
  • 3 years of experience in organization transformation.
  • 7 years of experience working in or with an integrated health system; legal experience; financial accounting; change and transition management; professional consulting experience
