Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal Industrial Security Analyst to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO.
This position requires the selected candidate to be on-site and does not allow for remote work.
Core duties:
Material Management & Destruction – Oversee secure handling, storage, and destruction of classified and proprietary assets; maintain accurate accountability records.
Security Education & Awareness – Design, deliver, and track security training programs and briefings for personnel and visitors.
Program Development & Administration – Create, update, and enforce security policies, procedures, and manuals for classified information, equipment, and facilities.
Regulatory Compliance – Interpret, implement, and monitor federal security regulations (e.g., NISP, ITAR, DFARS) that affect security operations.
Agency Liaison – Obtain rulings, interpretations, and authorized deviations from the appropriate government agencies; act as the point of contact for compliance inquiries.
Access Control Management – Coordinate issuance and revocation of access credentials for personnel and visitors; maintain related documentation.
Incident Investigation – Conduct investigations of security violations, produce detailed reports, and recommend corrective actions.
Customer Relationship Management – Develop and sustain productive relationships with internal customers, external partners, and government representatives.
Additional Duties – Perform other related tasks as assigned to support the overall security mission.
Basic Qualifications:
5+ Years of relevant experience with Bachelors; or 3+ Years relevant experience with Masters; an additional 4 years of applicable work experience may be substituted for bachelor’s degree.
Proficiency working with Microsoft Office Suite 365
Proficiency working with government security databases: DISS, NISS,
Ability to work independently and follow projects through to completion
Self-starter with minimal supervision
Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Top-Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated knowledge of insider‑threat programs, OPSEC, and overall program protection
Strong written and verbal communication skills; proven ability to brief senior leadership
Experience navigating DoD base‑access requirements (CAC issuance, government badging, system‑account provisioning)
Track record of conducting compliance self‑inspections and supporting external customer audits
Experience drafting and executing corrective‑action plans
