Principal Full Stack Engineer

About the Role

This is a client-embedded role working directly alongside a confidential, large-scale asset management firm in Manhattan. You will partner with the client team to design, architect, and deliver a structured products trading UI using modern web technologies. This is a highly visible, high-impact position for someone who thrives at the intersection of deep engineering and client consulting.

What You'll Do

• Lead the design and build of a trading-focused web application using React and TypeScript
• Serve as a hands-on engineer and architect, owning technical delivery from design through production
• Collaborate directly with client stakeholders as a trusted technical advisor
• Manage engineering deliverables and relationships across cross-functional teams
• Contribute to expanding the firm's footprint by delivering exceptional results and building strong client relationships

Required Skills & Experience

• 7+ years of software engineering experience
• Strong proficiency in React and TypeScript (front-end is the primary focus)
• Experience with C# and/or Python — enough to contribute in a backend environment
• Background in financial services — ideally front office, trading, or asset management
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills — a consulting personality is a must; this role requires direct client interaction
