Role Description The Principal is a full-time, on-site school leader at Summit Cove Elementary. The leader is responsible for the overall instructional and operational management of the school. Day-to-day responsibilities include setting and communicating a clear vision for teaching and learning, supporting educators in implementing rigorous and inclusive instructional practices, and using data to monitor scholar progress. The Principal leads and develops staff through coaching, feedback, and professional learning, and cultivates a positive, safe, and equitable school culture for students, staff, and families. This role oversees school operations such as scheduling, budgeting input, compliance with district and state policies, and coordination of student services. The Principal also builds strong partnerships with families and community members, represents the school within the district, and participates in district-wide leadership initiatives.
