The C2BMC Next Program, based in Colorado Springs, CO, needs a cyber engineer who has demonstrated experience in DoD operational computing environments and possesses the ability to work as part of an integrated Cybersecurity team tasked with designing, engineering, testing, certifying, and delivering a secure Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) system.

Your primary responsibilities will be to provide level release testing. PR/TP testing, develop and institute test plans, all of which will involve verification testing, system test and field-testing activities.

As a Cyber Engineer, you will work independently or with a small group and be flexible in a highly dynamic and ever-changing environment.

What You Will Do:

  • Act as a Technical Lead Technical document preparation and verbal communication of technical Cybersecurity issues and reports to senior government and military officials are expected to be part of daily tasks.
  • The successful candidate will provide unit level release testing. PR/TP testing, develop and institute test plans, all of which will involve verification testing, system test and field-testing activities.

What You Will Learn:

  • Understanding of writing concise test steps and other technical documentation
  • Ability to communicate with system engineers, network engineers and software developers
  • Desired Knowledge and Experience with STIGs, Ansible and Vulnerability scanning and network assessment tools

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Strong understanding of RMF and interpretation of requirements including success criteria.
  • Familiarity with Agile and automated testing
  • Working knowledge of implementing Common Criteria, NIST and National Information.
  • Assurance Partnership (NIAP) methodologies
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience.
  • 8140 Requirement IAT - Level II certification required at start
  • Active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Command and control system application development - Previous experience with message translation software Automated test and pipeline development experience
  • Proficiency in Project Management Tools: Experience using Microsoft Project, Jira, or similar platforms for scheduling, task management, and tracking project progress.
  • Agile Methodology Expertise: Strong understanding and application of Agile methodologies, including SCRUM, for iterative development and team collaboration.
  • Risk Management: Skilled in identifying potential risks, developing mitigation strategies, and implementing proactive solutions to ensure project success.
  • Requirements Management: Experience in decomposing, prioritizing, and managing technical and functional requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Proven ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring alignment across engineering, operations, and program leadership to achieve objectives.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
