Must-Haves
- 10+ years in infrastructure/cloud/platform engineering
- Deep hands-on Azure experience in large enterprise environments (banking, finance, insurance, online banking, large‑scale tech such as eBay/Google)
- Strong Azure landing zone expertise (subscriptions, networking, RBAC, security)
- Terraform and/or Bicep (ARM/PowerShell a plus)
- DevSecOps & CI/CD experience (Azure DevOps, GitHub, automation tools)
- Experience supporting large, complex, regulated programs
- Strong stakeholder management; ability to lead without authority
- High autonomy, accountability, and strong communication skills

Day-to-Day
- Act as Senior Cloud Engineering Lead embedded in a delivery team
- Design, build, and deliver Azure infrastructure at sprint cadence
- Support and evolve enterprise cloud foundations (landing zones, networking, identity, monitoring)
- Author IaC and drive automation for repeatable deployments (Terraform/Bicep)
- Partner with delivery, security, DevSecOps, and platform teams
- Ensure environments meet security, compliance, and production standards
- Identify and resolve risks, blockers, and dependencies
- Provide technical leadership and define reusable cloud patterns

Insight Global is seeking a Principal/Senior Cloud Engineer (Azure / Cloud Platform) for a top regulated-industry client supporting one of its highest-priority modernization programs. This role sits within Corporate Cloud Infrastructure/Platform Engineering but is fully aligned to a program delivery team, operating as a senior technical leader responsible for designing and delivering Azure infrastructure at sprint cadence. The ideal candidate is deeply hands-on with Azure landing zones, networking, identity/RBAC, security controls, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Bicep), and is comfortable making technical decisions, removing blockers, and driving outcomes with significant autonomy. This is a high-visibility position aligned to an enterprise IT modernization roadmap balancing delivery speed with governance, security, and operational readiness. This is a direct placement, remote role with a salary of $180,000-225,000 and requires travel to the Stamford, CT HQ twice per month (costs covered).
