🩺 What You’ll DoAs a Medical Assistant in Primary Care, you’ll be a vital part of the patient experience and care team. Your responsibilities include:
Preparing patients for provider visits using the Advanced Standard Rooming Process:
Documenting chief complaints
Taking vitals, reviewing history and allergies
Completing medication reconciliation
Addressing care gaps (e.g., screenings, diabetic eye exams)
Rechecking elevated blood pressures
Documenting preventive visit details in Epic
🔬 Performing in-office testing:Blood draws
Mental status exams
EKGs
Oxygen studies
Point-of-care testing
Administering vaccines and injections within scope
Scheduling follow-up appointments per office policy
Collaborating with providers and clinical teams to support care plans
QualificationsPrimary Care Assistant – MA🎓 Education: High School Diploma or GED
🩺 Certification: BLS required within 90 days of hire
⭐ Preferred Experience: 6+ months in clinical healthcare, ideally in primary care
Primary Care – Certified MAEducation: High School Diploma or GED
Certification: Active MA certification/registration (RMA, CCMA, CMA)
BLS: Required within 90 days of hire
LPN OptionEducation: Diploma in Practical Nursing
Licensure: Active LPN license
Preferred Experience: 6+ months in clinical healthcare, preferably primary care
