About the role
We’re looking for a sharp, data-driven Price Competitiveness Manager to help US Fashion win on value across all categories (jewelry, handbags, watches, sneakers, apparel, accessories, and more). You’ll own how we measure and improve price competitiveness across priority Fashion categories, translate insights into actions that move GMV and conversion, and drive cross-functional execution across Category, Product, Pricing, Marketing, and Analytics.
What you’ll do
Own the price competitiveness strategy for US Fashion categories—define where we need to win, how we benchmark, and what “good” looks like by segment (New With Tags vs pre-owned, branded vs unbranded, fast moving vs long tail).
Build the scoreboard: set the core metrics (price index, win-rate, selection coverage, shipping-inclusive price, promo impact, conversion lift) and establish a recurring performance cadence.
Find the “why” behind the gaps: run deep dives to diagnose drivers (seller behavior, shipping costs, fees, competitor moves, promo strategy, inventory mix, item condition grading).
Turn insight into action: design and launch levers that improve competitiveness (targeted promos, pricing guidance, fee/shipping levers, bundles, seller incentives, and merchandising interventions).
Partner to execute at speed: align stakeholders on priorities, drive tradeoffs, and push initiatives from idea to test to rollout.
Test and scale: run experiments, quantify impact, and scale what works. Build playbooks for repeatable improvements.
Be the voice of the customer: advocate for clear, trustworthy value (all-in price, shipping transparency, competitive comps) that improves buyer confidence.
What success looks like
Meaningful improvement in price index / price win-rate for priority subcategories.
Increased conversion and GMV attributable to price competitiveness initiatives.
Clear, trusted pricing measurement with strong coverage and adoption by category teams.
Faster detection and resolution of competitiveness issues (days, not weeks).
Strong cross-functional alignment and predictable operating rhythm.
What you bring
3-5 years in pricing, marketplace strategy, consulting, or analytics (ecommerce preferred).
Strong analytical chops: comfort with large/ complex datasets, experimentation, and causal thinking (SQL/BI tools a big plus). comfortable with messy data and ambiguous problem spaces.
Proven track record driving cross-functional workstreams and delivering measurable business impact.
Proven AI experience: partnered/ worked on GenAI/ML initiatives with measurable outcomes (automation, model-driven workflows, experimentation, analytics, or product features).
Excellent judgment: can balance competitiveness with margin, brand, and trust.
Clear communicator who can influence senior stakeholders and simplify complex problems.
Passion for Fashion and a strong point of view on what makes value compelling (condition, authenticity, shipping, promo mechanics).
