(1st Shift) Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

Experience: 2–5 years of experience operating CNC Press Brakes (bonus points for experience with Amada,Cincinnati, Trumpf, or Bystronic).

PrideStaff, a leading national workforce solutions firm, has partnered with a premier supplier located in Dayton , looking for a skilled Press Brake Operator. You are the architect of the third dimension. You take flat, laser-cut
sheets and—through a mastery of tonnage, bend deductions, and tooling—transform them into the structuralcomponents of massive HVAC and industrial systems. In a shop that handles custom industrial-gauge steel, your
precision is what ensures an airtight fit for the world's most demanding environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Precision Setup: Select, change, and align specialized gooseneck dies, V-dies, and radius tools based onmaterial thickness and required bend angles.
  • CNC Programming: Interface with the machine controller to enter bend sequences, back-gauge settings, and RAM depth to account for material "spring-back."
  • Advanced Forming: Execute complex bends for rectangular ductwork, conical transitions, and customindustrial fittings with high dimensional accuracy.
  • Blueprint Interpretation: Read and calculate bend deductions from flat-pattern layouts to ensure thefinished part meets the "cut-size" engineering specs.
  • Quality Verification: Use protractors, radius gauges, and calipers to verify angles and flange lengths, maintaining the "Precision" standard on every piece.
  • Material Handling: Safely maneuver large-format sheets and heavy-gauge plates using sheet followers, cranes, or team lifts.
  • In-Process Optimization: Adjust tonnage and crowning settings on the fly to compensate for variations inmaterial grain and hardness.

Why This Role is For You:
  • Technical Complexity: You won't just be doing 90-degree bends. You’ll be forming complex transitions,large-radius curves, and heavy-duty industrial flanges.
  • The "Heavy" Factor: Master the art of forming 1/4" thick plate steel, a skill set that places you in the toptier of metal fabricators.
  • Modern Fabrication: Work with high-tonnage CNC braking systems that utilize precision back-gauging andadvanced angle-correction technology.

What You’ll Need to Succeed
  • Geometric Skill: A strong understanding of blueprints, 3D visualization, and bend-allowance calculations.
  • Industrial Strength: The ability to handle the physical demands of large-scale duct fabrication and a"safety-first" attitude toward high-tonnage machinery.
