Job Description

We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Press Assistants. This is an entry-level position that requires no previous printing experience, offering a fantastic opportunity to enter the printing industry and grow into a Press Operator role.

Responsibilities

• Assist Press Operators in setup, make-ready, and clean-up activities.
• Change labels from one job to another efficiently.
• Clean ink pans and other ancillary equipment as needed.
• Strip plates from cylinders accurately.
• Follow all quality assurance checks diligently.
• Differentiate colors on labels and utilize a ruler for various measurements.
• Participate actively in all department meetings, process improvement events, and trainings/safety sessions.
• Be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds at various times.
• Stand and move around for extended periods of time.

Essential Skills

• General production experience is a plus.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Proficiency in reading and using a ruler.
• Basic production and tape measure skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to input data into a computer when required.
• Skill in differentiating colors and labels.
• Competence in reading and understanding job tickets.

This is a full GMP environment, candidates MUST be willing to comply with all requirements.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of York, PA.

The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $19.50/hr.
