Position Overview

We seek a dedicated PreK-4 Lead Teacher to join our team for the 2026-2027 school year. Working with an assistant teacher, this role involves planning and implementing engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons for children. Teachers also collaborate with parents to support each child's overall growth—physical, social, emotional, and cognitive.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and lead engaging, hands-on learning experiences.
  • Foster independence, creativity, and problem-solving in young learners.
  • Provide warm, responsive care tailored to individual needs.
  • Integrate Jewish studies into learning experiences.
  • Maintain strong, open communication with parents and caregivers.
  • Collaborate professionally with co-workers and engage in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

  • Degree or certification in early childhood education or related field.
  • Strong understanding of child development and best practices.
  • Familiarity with Texas Minimum Standards and NAEYC Accreditation Criteria.
  • Passion for Jewish education and early childhood learning.
  • Experience incorporating Jewish customs, holidays, and values into teaching.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to adapt to a dynamic classroom environment.
  • Ability to lift 20 pounds, sit and stand for extended periods, and kneel on the carpet.
