THIS POSITION MAY CLOSE AT ANY TIME ONCE A SUFFICIENT NUMBER OF APPLICATIONS HAVE BEEN RECEIVED.
The Pre-Court Supervisor supervises and oversees the pre-court unit. This position handles all duties and functions involved with the court process and any and all other duties involved with the unit itself. This position also works closely with juvenile probation departments regarding anything dealing with sex offenders and interim officer duties.
Reviews all offense reports from intake and detention and assigns cases to pre-court officers.Bachelor's degree in related field and minimum three years of experience insocial service, community, corrections or juvenile agency that deals with offenders or disadvantaged persons; equivalent education may be substituted for experience requirement.
In addition, per Chapter 344 of the TAC or any successor statute, the minimum qualifications of the Pre-Court Supervisor are that the candidate:
Certification as a Juvenile Probation Officer by the Texas Juvenile Justice Department required.
Must attain certification in the Handle with Care Behavioral Management System, or a successor behavior management system, within the first 30 days of employment and maintain certification in accordance with the recertification intervals established in Texas Juvenile Justice Department standards
Must attain certification in First Aid/CPR/AED from the American Red Cross within the first 30 days of employment and maintain certification in accordance with the recertification intervals established by the American Red Cross or successor authority.
