AFT - U24 - Steps 1-3
$76,486-$84,131

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time, AFT position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 pm. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Note: This position is in the “NL” category of employment (non-fixed work week) An AFT- NL professional staff member or librarian who is required to work beyond 35 hours shall be compensated through compensatory time off. Compensatory time shall be earned for hours worked beyond the normal work week, or on an employee’s regular day off, if requested and approved by their supervisor.


JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Director of Practicum Education Experience the Practicum Education Experience Coordinator is responsible for performing and coordinating a variety of activities related to the work of the Social Work and Master of Social Work programs.


DUTIES:
  • Assist with issues related to student registration/student/Practicum orientation/ Career fair/continuing education course programs and other school activities.
  • This is a full-time 12-month position. The person will act as the field liaison and advise students. Provide conflict resolution with students
  • Maintains inventory of necessary forms and documents.
  • Attend meetings for BSW and MSW when needed.
  • Assists with other activities in social work as needed.
  • Assists and supports with the Practicum Education Department as requested by the Director of Practicum Education Experience. Event planning and coordinating.
  • Support of Phi Alpha Honor Society process, coordination, and induction ceremony.
  • Coordinate placements for MSW and BSW students
  • Attend Open house events for BSW and MSW students when needed.
  • Instructor for the Seminar in Practicum Instruction
  • Instructor for Practicum Seminar

EDUCATION:
MSW/LSW required.

EXPERIENCE:
  • Experience with Experiential Learning Cloud software
  • A minimum of three years of practicum experience
  • At least three years of supervision experience
  • Completion of Seminar in Practicum Instruction
  • A minimum of three years of liaison experience
  • Strong networking skills
  • Previous experience as a practicum instructor
  • Experience facilitating seminars for students
  • Teaching experience preferred
