We are seeking a data‑driven Power BI Business Analyst who can bridge the gap between raw data and executive decision‑making. This role requires a strong blend of business analysis, data interpretation, and dashboard development, with a focus on transforming complex or messy data into clear, actionable insights for program leadership and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Analysis & Requirements Translation:
- Gather inputs from program leadership and business stakeholders.
- Translate business needs into clear analytical requirements.
- Analyze and structure complex datasets to deliver usable, decision‑ready insights.
Dashboard & Reporting Development (Power BI):
- Design and build executive‑ready Power BI dashboards that track portfolio health, including schedule, risk, workload, and performance metrics.
- Ensure dashboards support timely, informed decision‑making by leadership teams.
Candidate Must‑Haves:
- Hands‑on Power BI experience, including dashboard and report development.
- Proven experience creating reports and dashboards actively used by leadership or key decision‑makers.
- Strong SQL and Excel skills for querying, validating, transforming, and reconciling data across multiple sources.
- Demonstrated experience working as a Business Analyst, not just a report builder.
- Comfortable gathering requirements, documenting logic, and iterating with stakeholders in a fast‑paced environment.
Preferred Education & Background:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Background in data analytics and/or business analysis.
- Power BI certification is a strong plus, but not required.
Technical & Platform Experience:
- Power BI – Dashboard and report development
- SQL – Data extraction, validation, and reconciliation
- Excel – Analysis, data reconciliation, and ad‑hoc reporting
- Familiarity with utility data or Oracle Customer Care & Billing (CC&B) is preferred, but not required
- Familiarity with CRM platforms, ideally Saratoga CRM, is preferred but not required
