Overview

The Pool Attendant is the face of the outdoor guest experience at The Camby, providing high-energy hospitality in a fast-paced, sunny environment. This role is a unique hybrid of serving and bartending, requiring the ability to manage a section of poolside loungers while preparing cocktails. You will remain attentive to guests throughout their visit, ensuring a premium resort atmosphere while adhering to safety and service standards.This is a seasonal, full-time position (Thursday–Sunday, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM) with a high potential to transition into a permanent, year-round role within our food and beverage team at the end of the season.Core Responsibilities

• Active Service:Greets guests at poolside loungers and cabanas, taking food and drink orders with an upbeat and professional demeanor.
• Cocktail Preparation:Directly prepares cocktails and other beverages according to hotel recipes, maintaining speed and consistency.
• Operational Excellence:Completes all outdoor-specific side work, including restocking bar supplies, clearing glassware from the pool deck, and maintaining a clean, safe environment.
• Financial Integrity:Processes guest checks, ensuring accurate payment and safeguarding company and guest information.
• Attentiveness:Proactively monitors the pool area to anticipate guest needs, such as water refills or menu recommendations, while working under outdoor weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Food/Beverage Service Worker Permit, where applicable
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Six months to one year serving experience preferred
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
• Read, write and speak English fluently
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
• Knowledge of food and beverage service standards
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Meet minimum age requirement of jurisdiction
