The Orrville Police Department is seeking qualified lateral candidates for the position of police officer. This role offers the opportunity to serve a close knit community while working in a professional, well supported department. Police officers are responsible for enforcing state and local laws, responding to calls for service, and interacting with the public in a firm, respectful, and professional manner. Strong communication skills, the ability to interpret laws and procedures, and sound judgment are essential. Pay range: $35.85-$44.54 per hour after completion of FTO training, plus benefits. Minimum qualifications include: Current OPOTA certification Active commission with an Ohio law enforcement agency Good standing with no pending disciplinary or decertification action U.S. citizenship, age 21+, valid Ohio driver's license Ability to meet all background, psychological, voice stress, and drug screening requirements No visible tattoos while in uniform This is a lateral opportunity for experienced officers.
