Full time Public Safety Officer
The City of Folly Beach is a small island located nine miles southeast of Charleston SC. There are approximately 2500 year-round residents with an abundance of visitors during our warm months. Currently, our Public Safety Department is accepting applications for the position of Full Time Police Officers. Successful applicants will be required to pass a
South Carolina LE1 certified candidates preferred. Officers certified in other states are also encouraged to apply.

Starting Salary for SC LE1 certified applicants is $60,047.27 including $3,422.36 for 11 paid holidays. Certification stipend bonuses are available for up to $14,250 annually for additional certifications possessed or obtained during employment i.e firefighter, EMS, Instructor, water rescue, DRE, etc. Overtime opportunities available upon completion of field training.
