PRS AreaSpecialists
The PRS AreaSpecialists is a strategicsalessupport&customer experience role dedicated to supporting the growth and success of BD’s Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (PRS) business. This role combines insidesales,externalterritory managementsupport, and premium account service to deliver a white-glove experience for customers using BD’sP4HBbrands in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. As part of the Sales organization,theAreaSpecialistsserves as a trusted partner to healthcare professionals, ensuring seamless engagement across BD’s systems and teams to meet customer needs and drive business outcomes.This role reports intoaPRS Area Business Managerand is partnered regionally withthat Area Business Manager (ABM) and a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to appropriately support and grow the US business within the assigned region with is Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Mississippi and Louisiana.
Key Responsibilities:
White-Glove Customer Experience
Support PRS customers in the assigned region by delivering high-touch servicebothremotelyandwithproactiveonsiteengagement, in close partnership and under the direction of theregionalABM.
Navigate BD’s internal systems and teams to resolve customer inquiries related to ordering, pricing, billing, and producteducation.
Facilitate urgent order fulfillment, product returns, and account setup with speed and accuracy.
Provide guidance on product selection, sizing, and usage according to instructions foron-labeluse.
Escalate customer issues appropriately and advocate for resolution through internal channels.
Customer Engagement
Lead the implementation of the new eCommerce platform within the assigned region, supporting customer onboarding and driving adoption of the online ordering system through education, outreach, and ongoing support.
Ensuretimelydistribution of product literature, collateral, and educational materials.
Support regional engagement at trade showsbyattending and/orcoordinatingpre-event outreach,assistingwith lead capture and follow-up, and collaborating with RBMs and Marketing to maximize customer interactions and post-event conversion.
Collaborate with Global and US Marketing teams to proactively communicate product updates, inventory changes, and opportunities for orderefficiencies, enabling customers to plan and manage theirpurchasingeffectively.
Sales & Territory Management
Support and collaboratewithABMsto prioritize sales activities and customer engagement.
Support product demonstrations, in-servicing, and training forofficestaff.
Attend local/regional conferences and/or Surgical Education events where appropriate.
Qualifyinbound and outbound leads to ensure high conversion potential.
Maintain and grow a healthy sales pipeline through targeted outreach and follow-up,documentactivitiesand advancementsinSalesforce.com.
Conductlive andvirtual meetings, product presentations, and follow-ups to drive engagement.
Identifyupselland cross-sell opportunities based on customer needs and behaviors.
PerformanceReporting:
Generate and analyze sales reports toidentifytrends, gaps, and opportunities.
Maintainaccurateaccount records andutilizeCRM tools to track performance and insights.
Support/participate inmonthly regional cadencing and quarterly business reviews.
Ensure compliance with internal processes and documentation standards.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degreerequired;MBA or advanced degreedesired
Minimum of2 yearsof sales or medical device experience preferred.
Experience in high-touch customer service or premium account management.
Proficiencyin Microsoft Office and CRM platforms.
Strong analytical skills and ability to present data-driven insights.
Willingnesstorelocatefor future career advancement into field sales roles.
Exceptional organizational and creative skills
Strong interpersonal skills, highly collaborative, anddemonstratedability to build effective working relationships across company functional areas
Self-starter and ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Strong project management skills, along with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Must meet credentialing and compliance requirements for hospital access.
Ability to travela minimum of30%, including overnight stays.
