Job Title : Plant Tissue Culture Technician

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated research and development biologist to join our dynamic team in advancing plant science initiatives. Responsibilities:
• Perform agrobacterium transformation procedures to generate transgenic plants
• Maintain and monitor plant materials in greenhouse facilities
• Execute laboratory protocols following pre-established guidelines and standard operating procedures
• Maintain laboratory organization, cleanliness, and inventory management
• Document experimental procedures, observations, and results accurately
• Collaborate with team members on research projects and share findings
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and laboratory best practices
• Manage plant care schedules and monitor plant health and development
• Prepare materials and reagents for transformation and culture work
• Work occasional early morning and late evening shifts as needed, Monday through Friday

Previous Experience:
• Minimum of 1 year of laboratory experience
• Experience with tissue culture techniques (preferred)
• Familiarity with sterile technique and aseptic procedures (preferred)
• Background in germplasm handling and management (preferred)
• Experience with agrobacterium-based corn transformation (preferred)
• Greenhouse operations experience (preferred)
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in plant biology, plant breeding, microbiology, or related field
