Position Title: Plant Manager

Accelerate Professional Talent Solutions is seeking an experienced Plant Manager to oversee operations within a tier-one automotive blanking and stamping manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for leading all plant functions to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production while delivering exceptional service to both internal stakeholders and customers.
The Plant Manager will define and execute both short- and long-term objectives across safety, quality, delivery, and workforce performance, while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Plant Manager Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage day-to-day plant operations including production, maintenance, shipping, and receiving
- Drive production efficiency, capacity utilization, and cost control while maintaining quality standards
- Ensure accountability for production output, product quality, and on-time delivery
- Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with business objectives
- Monitor performance metrics and implement corrective actions as needed
- Analyze data to identify inefficiencies, waste, and overtime opportunities
- Champion plant safety initiatives and enforce compliance with all safety procedures
- Lead hiring, performance management, employee relations, training, and disciplinary processes
- Enforce company policies and escalate critical issues when necessary
- Ensure compliance with ISO/TS standards and applicable regulations
- Conduct regular inspections of the plant, equipment, and facility grounds
- Collaborate cross-functionally with departments including sales, quality, procurement, finance, and HR
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers
Requirements for Plant Manager:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
- 8+ years of manufacturing experience, preferably in steel or aluminum
- 8+ years of progressive leadership experience
- Strong financial and business acumen, including knowledge of market trends and best practices
- Proven leadership experience in a plant or manufacturing management role
- Strong knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation, HR)
- Experience with automotive aluminum and steel blanking equipment preferred
- Solid understanding of safety, quality, productivity, inventory, and operational processes
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent leadership, decision-making, and team-building abilities
- High attention to detail with strong follow-through
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
