𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗲
A publicly traded global manufacturer of specialty chemicals and advanced electronic materials is racing to scale a breakthrough materials platform that powers the AI, electric-vehicle, datacenter, and semiconductor boom, a genuine first-to-market technology with a capital program of more than $150M behind it. The first plant is being stood up and scaled right now, and you are the leader who runs it: accountable for safe, efficient, profitable production as the site grows from build-out to full operation, fast.
𝗪𝗵𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲
• You want to get in at the ground floor and build, not maintain a mature, settled plant
• You are energized, not unnerved, working hands-on around reactive and hazardous chemicals (flammable solvents, corrosives) in a process-safety-first operation
• You wear many hats, flex day to day, and write the playbook as you go
• You move with urgency and make things happen yourself, a hands-on operator, not an advisor waiting for direction
• You want to be on the cutting edge of a material the world has not made at this scale before
• If you want a fully-built plant with every process already dialed in, or you would rather not work around industrial chemicals, this is not your role
𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂'𝗹𝗹 𝗼𝘄𝗻
• Lead all day-to-day plant operations: EHS (environment, health, and safety), production, maintenance, quality, engineering, and logistics
• Own the site's results: safety, productivity, quality, cost, delivery, and team engagement
• Drive throughput and operational excellence in a high-volume, batch chemical environment while the plant scales
• Build the systems, capacity, and team as you go; this site is being stood up, not inherited
• Lead capital investment planning, equipment upgrades, and facility improvements
• Hold a process-safety-first culture around flammable and corrosive chemistry
• Champion Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen to raise efficiency and cut waste
𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴
• 10+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership, including plant or site leadership
• A track record running high-volume production, ideally in a batch chemical or process plant
• Comfort and credibility leading in a hazardous-chemical, process-safety-driven environment
• Financial acumen: budgeting, cost control, and capital planning
• Continuous improvement depth (Lean and/or Six Sigma)
• Bachelor's in engineering, operations, manufacturing, or business; Master's preferred
𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗳𝗶𝘁𝘀
• Base salary $128,636 to $192,954, plus a performance bonus
• Strong 401(k) match plus an additional company contribution, an employee stock purchase plan, medical with an employer health savings account (HSA) contribution, company-paid life and disability, and generous paid time off (PTO)
