This role provides financial control, reporting, analysis, and oversight for Plant Operations while supporting regional leadership with clear, accurate financial insights that drive informed decision‑making and long‑term planning. The position ensures compliance with internal and statutory financial guidelines, contributes to operational efficiency, and plays a key role in fostering a strong culture of safety and accountability across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Prepare financial and operational reports and analysis to support business decision‑making and advise leadership on the financial implications of key decisions.
- Collect, analyze, and compile data from all accounting functions for monthly reporting.
- Coordinate, support, and manage the regional budgeting, forecasting, and planning processes.
- Collaborate with corporate finance and other Controllers to improve processes, develop new financial system applications, and enhance existing tools.
- Provide corporate finance with information needed for corporate‑level analysis and benchmarking.
- Direct the development, preparation, and maintenance of financial and operational plans and reports.
- Develop and implement control systems to ensure compliance with financial policies and statutory requirements.
- Educate management and staff on financial processes, policies, and the financial impact of operational decisions.
- Lead cost‑control and cost‑reduction initiatives, ensuring unfavorable variances are addressed promptly.
- Serve as a deputy for the Regional Controller when needed.
- Demonstrate and promote a strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental policies across all work environments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; preferred fields include Accounting or Finance.
- 5–7 years of experience, ideally within the construction or manufacturing industry; cost accounting experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in MS Office required; SAP, BPC, Oracle/JDE, and Google Suite strongly preferred.
- Approximately 10% travel required.
- Strong technical accounting skills, leadership abilities, project management experience, and analytical capability.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to analyze business conditions and build effective cross‑functional partnerships.
- Commitment to safety protocols and proper use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including respirators when applicable.
