This job announcement is for two full-time permanent positions with the Construction Review Services in the Office of Community Health Systems (OCHS).
These home-based (remote) positions are open to Washington residents and those residing on the ID/WA and OR/WA borders.
Field work throughout the State is required and is expected for general inspection of buildings, including construction sites during active construction, approximately 5% of the time.

Required Qualifications
There are multiple pathways to qualify for this position. You must meet one of the options provided and any additional criteria listed. Experience may have been gained through paid or unpaid activities. Please ensure any relevant experience defined below is outlined in your cover letter, resume, and/or applicant profile.
Option 1:7 years’ experience in managing and administering regulatory compliance and/or facility management operations within heath care facilities to include three (3) or more years’ experience reading and interpreting construction plans.Certification as an International Code Council (ICC) plan reviewer or equivalent certification* within 18 months of initial hire.
Option2:Three (3) or more years of demonstrated experience in health care regulation and inspection through service within a program that provides Construction Review Services at theConstruction Project Coordinator 2 level or higher, to include three (3) or more years of experience reading and interpreting construction plans. Certification as an International Code Council (ICC) Plan Reviewer or equivalent certification* within 18 months of initial hire.
Option 3: A bachelor’s degree involving major study in architecture, engineering, or closely allied field; and three (3) years’ experience in reviewing plans or buildings for compliance with construction and code requirements.
Additional Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Experience
*Other accepted certifications include but are not limited to: Certification as an International Code Council (ICC) Building Official; Certification as an International Code Council (ICC) Master Code Official; National Council for Interior Design Qualification certification as an interior designer; Washington State licensure as an architect, Washington State licensure as practicing Engineer.

Working Conditions:
The following describes the working conditions of this position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Work Setting:
The official duty station for this position is home-based. If onsite work is requested by the supervisor, the request will be planned and communicated in advance. Requires general inspection of buildings, including construction sites during active construction.
Schedule:
This position has a work schedule of 40 hours per week between the hours of 8 and 5, Monday through Friday; however, the position may be expected to work longer hours to complete projects or assignments, and/or meet business demands and deadlines. A flexible work schedule will be considered at the incumbent’s request, subject to supervisory approval.
Travel Requirements:
Occasional travel to project sites around the State may be required. When driving for state business, the employee must be able to legally operate a state or privately-owned vehicle; OR provide alternate transportation while on state business.
Tools & Equipment:
This position uses standard office furniture and equipment, such as a desk, office chair, cell phone, computer, monitor(s), keyboard, and mouse; and when in the office, the position may also require the use of a printer, phone, fax machine, and/or copy machine.
Customer Interactions:
Requires interactions and communication with a wide range of design, construction, management, and clinical professionals, enforcement agencies and the public.
