Baptist Health Medical Group (BHMG), part of Baptist Health South Florida (BHSF), the largest healthcare organization in the South Florida region with medical practices spanning from Key West to Palm Beach, is seeking to employ a Vascular Neurologist to join its well-established program at its Baptist Health Miami Neuroscience Institute (MNI), part of Baptist Health Brain & Spine Care. The team, which includes over two dozen physicians across eight locations, perform over 1,500 surgeries each year, and offers more than 30 clinical research studies, includes experts in a wide range of specialties, including neurosurgery, nonsurgical spine care and pain management, neuroradiology, interventional neuroradiology, neuro-oncology, radiation oncology and neurology.

Ideal candidates will have in-depth knowledge of managing stroke calls, stroke prevention clinic, providing acute inpatient stroke consultation, and collaborating with neurointerventional and ICU teams

MNI is a Joint Commission Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center. In 2022, MNI had the greatest number of thrombolytic cases per year for the region, with the lowest door to needle time amongst all high-volume centers

Academically affiliated with Florida International University (FIU) and Florida Atlantic University (FAU), BHSF has been teaching residents at FAU since 2018, and most recently launched a 16-resident neurology program at FIU in 2025.

Qualifications:


Requirements include MD/DO from an accredited institution, active and unrestrictive medical license (or eligibility for licensure by start date), and satisfactory completion of all required due diligence tasks and credentialing

Candidates must be Board Eligible/Board Certified in Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN), and be fellowship-trained in Vascular Neurology

Board certification in Vascular Neurology at time of hire preferred but can be obtained within allotted eligibility timeline
