Physician Compensation & Payroll Analyst

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented professional to join a dedicated team of four managing the compensation, payroll, and personnel lifecycle for over 1,500 physicians. This role is critical in ensuring medical staff are compensated accurately and timely within a fast-paced, high-stakes healthcare environment. You will serve as a key resource for the department, providing data analysis, responding to physician inquiries, and facilitating the vital onboarding and offboarding processes.


Location: Fontana, CA (100% Onsite)

Compensation: Starting at $37.00/hr (Commensurate with experience)

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Contract Details: Full-time hours with a high-volume "peak season" from June through January.


Key Responsibilities

  • Compensation & Payroll: Conduct complex data analysis and reconciliation to ensure physician pay is accurate and compliant with internal standards.
  • Onboarding/Offboarding: Facilitate the full lifecycle of physician personnel actions, ensuring a seamless experience for new and departing medical staff.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Perform specialized analyses at the request of the Board of Directors (BOD) and Medical Directors to support strategic decision-making.
  • System Optimization: Recommend program and system solutions to address the evolving needs of the department and improve operational efficiency.


Required Qualifications

  • Education: A completed College Degree is required.
  • Experience: 3–5 years of Human Resources experience, specifically focused on payroll or compensation.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience within a healthcare or medical group setting is strongly preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Must be comfortable learning and mastering proprietary internal systems. Proficiency in MD People, MDTRV, or PHR Connect is a significant plus.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical capabilities, and professional communication skills are essential for success in this role.
