Physician, Benign Hematologist

  • Candidates must be Board Eligible/Board Certified in Hematology or Hematology/Oncology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM)
  • Ideal candidates will have experience in benign hematology
  • Requirements include MD/DO from an accredited institution, active and unrestrictive
  • medical license (or eligibility for licensure by start date), and satisfactory completion of all required due diligence tasks and credentialing
  • Candidates will diagnose and manage a wide range of benign hematologic conditions, perform procedures including bone marrow biopsies and blood transfusions when clinically, and develop individualized treatment plans informed by the latest clinical guidelines
  • Will collaborate across disciplines to deliver comprehensive, coordinated care and educate patients and families about their condition, treatment options, and long-term management strategies
  • Participate in research initiatives and quality improvement projects, while contributing to teaching medical students, residents, and fellows
  • Position reports to Chief of Benign Hematology, and supported by a team of advanced practice providers and fellow physicians
  • Baptist Health Herbert Wertheim Cancer Institute has been recognized by the Association for Accreditation of Human Research Protection Program (AAHRPP) for promoting ethically sound and safe human subjects research practice
