Interventional Radiology Physician Assistant (PA)

Highly regarding vascular and interventional radiology practice in Hayward, California is seeking an exceptional Physician Assistant (PA) to join their team! Candidates with backgrounds in radiology, surgery, vascular medicine, emergency medicine, or critical care will be considered for this exciting new role. Ideal candidates will also be bilingual in English and Spanish.
This practice is fully prepared and willing to train the right candidate, particularly someone with ties to the Bay Area, exceptional hands-on procedural/surgical skills, and a strong desire to work in the vascular/IR field in an office-based lab (OBL) setting.
Position Overview
- Role: Full-time, permanent PA in Interventional Radiology.
- Work-Life Balance: Monday–Friday schedule, either 4 or 5 days per week. Zero on-call, weekend, or night shift requirements.
- Supportive Environment: Collaborate with an outstanding vascular and interventional radiologist and work alongside a highly supportive clinical staff.
Responsibilities
- Perform Procedures: Perform or assist on a wide variety of vascular and interventional radiology procedures such as paracentesis, thoracentesis, GAE, HAE, PAE, RFA, UAE, UFE, port placement, sclerotherapy, vascular stenting, and more, all in an outpatient OBL setting.
- Patient Care: Obtain comprehensive health histories and perform physical examinations for new patients, conduct consults for new patients, and manage follow-up visits for existing patients.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, up-to-date progress notes in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families regarding procedures, discharge, and follow-up care.
Required Qualifications
- Licensure: Active (or eligible to obtain) California Physician Assistant license.
- Certifications: Current BLS and ACLS certification.
- Experience: Previous PA experience in radiology, surgery, vascular, ER, or critical care is preferred.
- Bilingual: Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly preferred.
