Responsibilities:

  • Assist front desk with simple reception duties such as signing in patients, scanning, emailing and communicating with different parties.
  • Prepare physical therapy room with appropriate equipment, fitting to the scheduled patient’s need/appointment.
  • Ensure cleanliness of physical therapy room and equipment by using disinfecting products. PT Aide must be willing to clean and sanitize equipment during patient visits.
  • Assist a patient in moving from one area of therapy to another, Aides must have physical capabilities to move immobile patients including pushing wheelchairs, assist in sitting and standing.
  • Observe and note patient progress during treatment to compile and evaluate and response to treatment and report to supervising therapist.
  • Maintain inventory of all PT supplies.
  • Instruct, motivate, safeguard and assist patients on practicing exercises and functional activities like ADL’s, transfers, standing support and ambulation with or without the use of an assistive device under the supervision of a physical therapist.
  • Assist in the preparation of PT equipment and modalities needed for the treatment. Assist and administer the application of certain modalities such as hot packs, cold packs, TENS, PWB, ultrasound, exercise equipment’s, massage and exercises under the supervision of a physical therapist.
  • Teach patients exercises for mobility, strength and coordination, training for activities such as walking with crutches, canes, or walkers and the use of physical agents and electrotherapy such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation.
  • Ensuring patient and caregivers understand necessary exercises and new healthy practices.
  • Other related physical therapy aide duties.


Job Type: Full-time


Education: High school or equivalent (Required)
