TotalRTM is looking for a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) with a California PTA licensed to join our team as a Remote Therapeutic Monitoring Specialist. In this fully remote role, you will support patients outside the clinic, helping them stay on track
with their home exercise programs (HEPs) while collaborating closely with our clinical team.
About the Role:
This role focuses on providing ongoing support to patients outside of the
clinic by monitoring progress with home exercise programs (HEPs), assisting with app access,
answering clinical questions within the PTA scope of practice, and coordinating with supervising
physical therapists.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and monitor patient charts and home exercise programs as directed by the
supervising physical therapist
- Contact patients by phone to assist with accessing and navigating the home exercise
program app
- Provide education, motivation, and clarification on prescribed HEPs within the PTA scope of
practice
- Identify and escalate concerns or changes in patient status to the supervising physical
therapist
- Act as a liaison between patients and physical therapists to ensure continuity of care
Document all patient interactions and updates in the electronic health record system in
compliance with clinic standards
Qualifications:
- Current California state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) required
- Prior clinical experience in outpatient physical therapy (orthopedics) preferred
- Strong communication, patient education, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with technology, mobile applications, and electronic documentation systems
- Highly organized and able to work independently in a remote setting
