Join a winning team supporting the Inpatient Physical Therapy Department as a Physical Therapist Assistant at Scripps Memorial La Jolla.. Receive mentorship and guidance from our experienced Physical Therapists and gain exposure to a variety of different cases from in-patient rehab to out-patient neurology. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a thirst for knowledge looking to help our team provide world class patient care.
The Physical Therapist Assistant assists in the provision of therapy under the supervision of the Physical Therapist who shall be responsible for the extent, kind, and quality of the services provided by the therapist assistant through a continuum of care. The work is performed according to the assistant's licensure/certification, Code of Ethics, Federal/State regulations, JCAHO/UMQC and Care Center policies and procedures. The Physical Therapist Assistant demonstrates the ability to perform competencies as outlined in the Rehabilitation Services Competency Assessment tools and demonstrates age specific care as established for area and job title.

Required Certification/Registration/Education:
· Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
· Physical Therapist Assistant license or Pending license for State of California. Must have license in hand before start.
· BLS for Healthcare Provider from American Heart Association
Preferred Experience/Qualifications:
· At least one year of experience as a PTA in an Inpatient/Acute Care setting
