POSITION SUMMARY: To apply and contribute to the St. Joseph’s Health mission and values in obtaining quality blood samples for laboratory analysis to diagnose or monitor medical conditions.Responsibilities include performing venipunctures, specimen handling, patient care and data management. This position combines technical and advisory skills.

EDUCATION, TRAINING, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:

High school diploma or equivalent required

Completion of an accredited phlebotomy program or will graduate within 12 months of hire into role

CPR Certification required

Phlebotomy Certification preferred

Phlebotomy experience required

Medical Terminology required

Familiarity with science courses preferred

Good communication, interpersonal and organizational skills required

Manual dexterity required

Computer knowledge preferred

SPECIAL EQUIPMENT, SKILLS OR OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Good communication skills and manual dexterity.

Pay Range: $17.85-25.90

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location
