What You’ll Do
Position Summary: The Pharmacy Technician, under direct pharmacist supervision, is responsible for maintenance of
medication distribution systems within the Adena Health System. The Certified Pharmacy Technician, is
responsible for assisting with all aspects of pharmacy business provided in hospital, cancer center, and home
care pharmacy. Skills and training may be varied depending on the specific services provided within each entity.
Decisions are made in collaboration with a pharmacist. This position may provide direct patient care and has
access to patient and financial confidential information, non-controlled and controlled drugs and certain
hospital funds.
Required Educational Degree: High School Diploma or GED
Required Certifications,
Credentials and Licenses :Active status with the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy as a Certified
Technician, Ohio State Board of Pharmacy Intern license or Nationally
Certified Tech with active status with OSBP as Tech Trainee or Registered
Tech with 6 month deadline to become Certified Tech, Active status with
OSBP.
Preferred Experience: 1-2 years pharmacy or customer service experience
