Department Overview
The purpose of this position is to provide support to OHSU outpatient pharmacy specialty services and the
Knight Cancer medical/surgical oncology pharmacy program. Responsibilities include prescription prior
authorization and approval, prescription dispensing, medication histories, patient outreach and medication
assistance. The individual is required to have extensive knowledge of third-party processing, EpicCare and
Epic Willow. This position will primarily work on VPV floors 3-7 but may be asked to work in an OHSU
outpatient pharmacy when other team members are on leave.
Relief employees must be available to work at least four (4) days per pay period as determined according to the department needs

The individual will experience competing demands on their time from clinic staff and/or patients and willneed to effectively multi-task. Must be able to perform well within a team environment and work in acollaborative and cooperative manner. Must be able to deliver a consistently high level of customer service. Ability to stand/walk for 6-8 continuous hours per day. Additionally, this candidate will need to function for long periods of time using a computer terminal. Must be able to work effectively with minimal directsupervision.
