Manager Pharmacy Summary:

  • Provides leadership and oversight for pharmacy operations and personnel to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant pharmacy services.
  • Coordinates the development and implementation of pharmacy systems, policies, and procedures; participates in quality and process improvement initiatives; and collaborates with pharmacy leadership and interdisciplinary teams to plan and support new or revised services.
  • Oversees staff scheduling, supervision, recruitment, performance management, and corrective action, and responsibility for pharmacy operations.
  • Promotes effective communication, regulatory compliance, patient safety, and optimal use of technology and automation while maintaining current knowledge of pharmacy practice and leadership standards.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy; Preferred Education: Master’s degree in Pharmacy; Doctorate in Pharmacy.
  • Required Certification: Pharmacist - State of Florida; Preferred Certification: ASHP (American Society of Health-System Pharmacists) - Accredited Program; Florida Consultant Pharmacist license.
  • Required Experience: 5 years of experience in field as an individual contributor; 1-3 years supervisory/coordinator experience.
  • Other Requirements: Any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the position.
