Pharmacy Assistant

Equity Staffing Group is hiring a Pharmacy Assistant to support overnight pharmacy operations in Columbia, MD. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and enjoys hands-on work supporting prescription fulfillment and delivery preparation.

3rd Shift - 8hr shift starting between 9pm & 10pm

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and bag finished prescriptions for delivery
• Sort baskets/carts by facility unit, location, and delivery schedule
• Scan medications and manifests for delivery accuracy
• Prepare delivery paperwork (manifests, packing slips, notifications)
• Retrieve completed prescriptions from pharmacist review stations
• Set up delivery totes, labels, and staging areas
• Check bins/racks to ensure all medications are accounted for before dispatch
• Assist pharmacy floor staff during downtime
• Perform light warehouse duties including pick-and-drop tasks

Team Environment

• Work alongside pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and clerks
• Collaborative, fast-paced environment focused on timely and accurate prescription fulfillment

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 0-6 months of work experience
• Ability to work at a steady, moderate pace
• Basic English reading and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous pharmacy experience (retail or long-term care)
• Warehouse or pick/pack experience

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 lbs
• Comfortable working 7-10 hour shifts
• Good vision and attention to detail for reading labels and small print
