Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) – Home Infusion & Specialty Pharmacy

About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and patient-focused Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) to lead operations at our growing home infusion and specialty pharmacy in Lenexa, Kansas. This is an exciting opportunity to take on a leadership role in a collaborative healthcare environment, where you’ll work closely with physicians, nurses, and clinical teams to optimize patient outcomes.
As the PIC, you will play a critical role in ensuring safe, effective, and compliant pharmacy operations while helping support the company’s continued growth and expansion.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate physician orders, laboratory data, and patient information to ensure appropriate and effective drug therapy
- Oversee the safe and accurate dispensing of medications, supplies, and infusion equipment
- Provide clinical expertise to patients and healthcare partners to improve therapeutic outcomes
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams
- Maintain compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations
- Lead and oversee pharmacy staff, including technicians and support personnel (as the team expands)
- Support quality assurance, performance improvement initiatives, and operational excellence
- Participate in on-call rotation to support patient care needs
Qualifications
Required
- Active Pharmacist license in good standing in the state of Kansas
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BSPharm) or equivalent
- Willingness to obtain additional state licenses (company-sponsored) in support of organizational growth
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and locations
Preferred
- Experience in home infusion and/or specialty pharmacy
- Familiarity with CareTend or CPR+ pharmacy management systems
Schedule & Work Environment
- Monday–Friday schedule (typically 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
- On-call rotation shared across branch locations
