Schedules:

• Monday-Friday 1st sift
• 4 days during the week and one 10 hour shift on the weekend

Overview:

The Staff Pharmacist is responsible for supporting and advancing the pharmacy’s operational goals within a dispensing pharmacy environment. This role provides comprehensive, accurate drug screening, processing, and dispensing services for long-term care facilities. The Staff Pharmacist ensures medications are delivered efficiently, safely, and in full compliance with regulatory requirements.

Job Duties:

• Execute day-to-day pharmacy operations to meet workflow production quotas and deadlines
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal pharmacy regulations, including DEA requirements and third‑party payer contracts
• Assist in ensuring adherence to PharmScript policies and regulatory agency policies and procedures, whichever is stricter
• Supervise pharmacy production staff to ensure proper workflow, pharmacy security, and adherence to delivery schedules
• Verify completeness and accuracy of all new and refill prescription orders, labels, and packaging
• Prepare and/or supervise the preparation of sterile IV drug products or solutions
• Assist with proper ordering, handling, receiving, documentation, and storage of controlled substances
• Maintain a perpetual inventory for Schedule II medications
• Provide evening, weekend, and on‑call coverage as required by management
• Ensure daily workflow dashboards are cleared
• Follow all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited School of Pharmacy
• Current pharmacist license in good standing
• Proficiency in clinical interpretation, including drug–drug, drug–disease, drug–food interactions, and allergy review
• Will take recent graduates

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tyler, TX.

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $65.00/hr.
