Position Overview:

Our firm is seeking a Senior Litigation Paralegal with extensive personal injury litigation experience to support our attorneys through all stages of the litigation process. Must have 8+ years of experience as a Paralegal. Overall organization and attention to detail are paramount to this position along with the willingness and ability to regularly interact with clients, adjusters, lawyers and other paralegals over the phone and in-person.

 

Job Duties:

  •  Draft, review, and file litigation pleadings including petitions, motions, notices, and discovery responses
  •  Coordinate and track service of process and follow up on service completion
  • Manage and monitor all litigation deadlines to ensure compliance with court rules and scheduling orders
  • Prepare discovery requests and responses including interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for disclosure
  • Organize and maintain litigation case files within the firm’s case management system
  •  Coordinate and schedule depositions, mediations, hearings, and court appearances
  • Coordinate with clients, witnesses, medical providers, and experts through interviewing and follow-up to gather essential case information.
  •  Assist attorneys with deposition preparation and review of records and exhibits
  •  Prepare comprehensive trial, mediation, and deposition binders
  •  Communicate regularly with clients regarding case status and litigation updates
  • Maintain detailed documentation of case activity and communication within the firm’s case management software
  •  Coordinate with medical records departments, experts, and outside vendors as needed for litigation preparation
  • Collaborate with attorneys and internal staff to ensure cases progress efficiently through the litigation process

Requirements:

  • Board certified a plus
  • Minimum 8+ years of litigation experience, preferably in plaintiff personal injury cases
  • Strong experience drafting litigation documents and managing discovery
  • Experience preparing cases for trial preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional and courteous communication with clients, attorneys, insurance adjusters, and opposing counsel
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced legal environment
  • Experience using case management software (Needles Neos experience preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate case documentation
