A busy plaintiff-side personal injury firm in Alexandria, VA is looking for a motivated, bilingual paralegal to join its team. This is a hands-on role with real responsibility — you'll work closely with attorneys and clients to move cases forward from intake through resolution. If you're organized, client-focused, and fluent in both English and Spanish, we want to hear from you.
What you'll do
- Serve as a primary point of contact for Spanish-speaking clients, providing updates, answering questions, and ensuring they feel supported throughout the process
- Manage a caseload of active personal injury matters from initial intake through settlement or trial preparation
- Request, collect, and organize medical records, bills, accident reports, and other case documentation
- Draft demand letters, correspondence, and litigation documents under attorney supervision
- Communicate with insurance adjusters, medical providers, and opposing counsel on case-related matters
- Track deadlines, statutes of limitations, and case milestones to keep matters on schedule
- Prepare and organize settlement packages, lien negotiations, and closing files
- Translate documents and interpret during client meetings as needed
What we're looking for
- 2-5 years of paralegal experience in a personal injury or plaintiff-side litigation setting
- Fluency in both Spanish and English — written and spoken — is required
- Familiarity with Virginia courts and personal injury litigation procedures is a plus
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple active files simultaneously
- Compassionate, professional communication style — many clients are navigating a difficult time
- Proficiency with case management software (Filevine, Clio, or similar) preferred
