Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of personal injury files from inception through settlement or litigation support
- Draft legal documents, including complaints, discovery requests/responses, motions, and settlement agreements
- Communicate effectively with clients, insurance companies, medical providers, and opposing counsel
- Obtain, organize, and summarize medical records and bills
- Maintain and update case management systems (e.g., Needles, Clio, or similar)
- Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including preparing exhibits, trial notebooks, and witness lists
- Coordinate and schedule depositions and mediations
- Ensure deadlines are met and court filings are completed accurately and on time
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3+ years experience as a personal injury paralegal (plaintiff-side preferred)
- Litigation experience preferred
- Thorough knowledge of personal injury procedures, statutes, and deadlines
- Proficiency with legal case management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Paralegal certificate or degree preferred but not required
