Personal Injury Defense Attorney

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Personal Injury Defense Attorney to join a highly respected litigation team. This role will focus on defending clients in a variety of complex matters, including personal injury, products liability, and premises liability cases. The ideal candidate is comfortable managing cases from inception through resolution and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

This is a fully remote role with an option to work in the office as much as you like.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of personal injury defense matters, including motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, and products liability claims
• Handle all phases of litigation from initial investigation through trial or settlement
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery demands/responses, and legal memoranda
• Conduct depositions of plaintiffs, witnesses, and experts
• Attend court appearances, hearings, arbitrations, and mediations
• Analyze liability and damages to develop case strategy and risk assessments
• Work closely with clients, insurance carriers, and experts to drive case outcomes
• Negotiate settlements and participate in alternative dispute resolution proceedings
• Prepare for and participate in trials as needed

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Active license to practice law in California
• 1–8+ years of experience in personal injury defense, products liability, and/or premises liability
• Strong litigation skills, including motion practice and deposition experience
• Trial experience or strong interest in trial work is a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines independently
