Personal Care Assistant - ALF - Full-Time 2nd Shift

Position Summary

The Personal Care Assistant (PCA) plays a vital role in supporting residents with daily living activities while promoting independence, dignity, and overall well-being. This position is responsible for delivering high-quality, person-centered care in a compassionate and respectful environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Observe and report changes in residents’ physical, emotional, or cognitive condition to nursing leadership
  • Assist with meal service, including set-up and hydration support as needed
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
  • Engage residents in meaningful activities and social interaction
  • Follow individualized care plans and document care provided accurately and timely
  • Respond promptly to resident call lights and requests for assistance
  • Adhere to all policies, procedures, and safety protocols


Qualifications

  • Previous caregiving experience preferred (assisted living, home health, or long-term care)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Compassionate, patient, and dependable


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to reposition residents
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods
  • Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations


Work Environment

  • Assisted living community setting

  • Requires flexibility, including weekends and holidays as needed
